The FSC system operates with a 24 Vdc supply, which can be powered from the plant's 24 Vdc supply system with battery back-up. Internally, the FSC system uses a 5 Vdc power source to operate its modules. The 10024/I/I DC/DC converter generates the internal 5 Vdc while providing galvanic isolation between the two supply voltages. Due to the strict ±5% tolerance on the 5 Vdc supply, this module must be positioned close to the system bus. Proper use of sense wires and short wires with adequate diameter is essential to minimize voltage drop and ensure optimal performance. The module features high memory capacity, fast access times, low power consumption, configurable software, and a default setting that retains the last operational state.
