330104-02-25-10-01-00 is a 3300 XL 8 mm Proximity Probe manufactured and designed by Bently Nevada as part of the 3300 Series used for machinery vibration monitoring systems. Proximity probes are versatile tools commonly utilized in industries such as oil and gas, power generation, water and wastewater, pulp and paper, and other industrial sectors. They are particularly valuable in facilities like refineries, petrochemical plants, natural gas transmission and processing units, and power plants. These probes are essential for monitoring machinery equipped with fluid film or fluid-lubricated thrust bearings. The system delivers an output voltage proportional to the gap between the probe tip and the conductive surface being monitored. It is capable of measuring both static values, such as position, and dynamic values, like vibration. Its main uses include monitoring vibration and position in machines with fluid-film bearings, as well as providing Keyphasor references and speed measurements.
FUNCTIONS OF PROXIMITY PROBE:
1.The 3300 XL 8 mm system represents a significant advancement in eddy current proximity transducer technology. The standard 5-meter 3300 XL 8 mm system adheres fully to the American Petroleum Institute (API) 670 Standard (4th Edition), meeting requirements for mechanical design, linear range, accuracy, and temperature stability.
2.All 3300 XL 8 mm proximity transducer systems deliver this high level of performance, offering complete interchangeability of probes, extension cables, and Proximitor sensors. This eliminates the need for component matching or bench calibration.
3.Components of the 3300 XL 8 mm Transducer System are fully backward compatible and interchangeable with non-XL 3300 series 5 mm and 8 mm transducer system components.
4.The 3300 XL Proximitor Sensor features numerous enhancements over earlier models. Its design supports high-density DIN-rail installations while also accommodating traditional panel mounting with the same 4-hole footprint as older Proximitor Sensor designs.
5.The mounting base for either configuration provides electrical isolation, eliminating the need for separate isolator plates. Additionally, the 3300 XL Proximitor Sensor is highly resistant to radio frequency interference, enabling installation in fiberglass enclosures without being affected by nearby RF signals.
