The 3500/15 Power Supply is a half-height module and must beinstalled in designated slots on the left side of the rack. The 3500rack can contain one ortwo power supplies with anycombinations of AC and DC. Either supply can power a fullrack.
When two power supplies are installed in a rack, the one in thelower slot acts as the primary supply, and the otherin the upperslot acts as the backup supply. If installed, the second supply isthe backup forthe primary one.
Removing orinserting either power supply module does notdisrupt operation of the rack as long as a second power supplyis installed.
The 3500/15 Power Supply accepts a wide range of inputvoltages and converts them to voltages acceptable for use byother 3500 modules. The following power supplies are availablewith the 3500 Series Machinery Protection System:
