The 3300 XL 11mm Proximity Sensor System consists of the following components:

The 3300 XL 11mm Proximity Sensor System features a 3.94 V/mm (100 mV/mil) output for non-contact vibration measurement. This output is used for non-contact vibration and displacement measurements on fluid film bearing machines. The 11mm larger tip enables the sensor system to have a longer linear range compared to the standard 3300 XL 8mm sensor system.

The system is primarily used in applications that require a longer linear range, including:
Axial (thrust) position measurement
Differential expansion measurement of steam turbines
Rod position or rod drop measurement of reciprocating compressors
Tachometer and zero speed measurement
Phase reference (Keyphasor®) signal
The 3300 XL 11mm Proximitor sensor is designed to replace the 7200 series 11mm and 14mm sensor systems. When upgrading from the 7200 series system to the 3300 XL 11mm system, all components must be replaced with 3300 XL 11mm parts. Additionally, the monitoring system must be updated. If using a 3500 monitoring system, the configuration software version must be updated to list the 3300 XL 11mm sensor system as a compatible option. The existing 3300 monitoring system may also require modifications.
